New name?! Goodbye messy social media!

Hello loves!

It's been a while since the last time I wrote... It's harder to stick to resolutions than I thought haha! So some of you might have noticed (probably not) that I've changed the name to TheTrendChapter on my blog, youtube and twitter. No more MyBeautyAdventures(I liked this one) and Fashion Addict Adventures (this one not so much)... I know it's not recommended to change your name when you're only starting out, but different names on different social media platforms were pissing me off and were confusing to some of my readers/viewers. So I came up with TheTrendChapter

I like it because word 'trend' won't limit me to only beauty or only fashion. I want to write about both and now my name makes more sense. It's a part of my "upgrading" so over the next week or two expect to see new logos and banners (and please be kind while I'm changing everything because for now I'll keep old ones). I'm finally excited and ready and full of ideas! So get ready to see me often girls!

P.s. Please follow my blog on Bloglovin because I went from 85 followers to 1 again! Numbers are not that important to me but I appreciate your support!

10 Resolutions for 2015 ● January 2015

We all say it as soon as the clock hits 00:00.. So pumped and motivated for new beginnings, but that excitement fades after a day or two and January blues slowly takeover our minds. Well at least that's exactly what happens to me every year. And that's why I believe that January is THE WORST month for new resolutions (and just the worst month in general), but I still try to come up with a few every year.

Last year I promised to start blogging and youtubing again and I actually did it! I was horribly irregular but I'm proud that at least I started it. So this year I've decided to come up with 10 new resolutions and actually commit to them. We'll see if that's possible...

My Resolutions for 2015:

1. To be as consistent with my content on YouTube as possible. And by saying this I mean that I'll try my hardest to upload every week. I'll try, but if something happens and I'm unable to do that I might skip a week but not more!

2. To blog 1-2 times a week. Blogging is a lot easier than filming videos because it doesn't require an empty apartment for me to do it. So no excuses for this one!

3. To be be more daring. Just in general. I often feel like I'm stuck in a never ending routine and that can get quite depressing. So from now on I'll try to be more daring with my make up, fashion and life choices.

4. To finally loose weight. I'm so insecure with my body because I'm not curvy, I'm just chubby. And every year I promise myself this, but something always happens and I quit... So I'll try it again and fingers crossed that I'll actually do it.

5. To experiment with make up. It's kind of similar to 3rd resolution, but what I mean by experimenting is creating new looks for you guys. Not necessarily neutral and suitable for everyday, but fun and inspiring.

6.To do everything I possibly can to spend my summer in London. I'm quite a reserved person when it comes to big goals like this because I don't want to jinx it. My friend and I came up with this one few days ago, so it's quite fresh, but I've already decided to commit and do it. Life is too short and I refuse to waste it!

7. To be independent. I'll be turning 20 this March so I believe it's time for me to slowly transition from a teenager into an independent person and start taking care of myself. So job hunt begins and hopefully by the end of the year I can say that I can fully support myself without my parents help.

8. To sleep less. Because I have sleeping issues and often can't sleep during the night, I've developed this stupid habit of sleeping during the day. It all started few years ago with short naps, but recently it turned into 3-6 hour "naps" and it completely messed up my sleeping cycle. So no more napping unless I haven't slept for days!

9. To stop procrastinating. I'm the biggest procrastinator ever! Trust me.. So I think it's time to end it and just face my responsibilities and grow up.

10. To have THE BEST YEAR (yet). With all these resolutions and goals, 2015 should be "my year". And it will if I can keep them up and stay motivated!

So these are my goals and resolutions for new year. Hopefully I've inspired you to create some as well. And if you already have, you can always share in the comments down below!

The Inspiration Board ● November 2014

Hello!
Guys it's already November.. Can you believe it?! I know I can't! So as you can see this month I'm more interested in, and inspired by makeup. Glowing skin, defined cheekbones, bold eyes or lips, big natural looking eyebrows and messy hair... I feel inspired to experiment with new makeup looks, to be daring and bold! I haven't felt this way in a really long time and now I realize how much I've missed it.. Fashion wise this month I've fallen in love with minimalistic yet very cozy looks. Huge snugly scarf, black leather and white fabrics.. Extremely effortless and easy to recreate, yet so chic!

I've realized that I should credit the owners/sources. I've collected these pics over past few weeks, so it's really hard to track down links now.. I promise I'll do it next month! I found them on tumblr.

Salt N' Pepper ● Nail art Tutorial

salt-and-pepper-nail-tutorial-dots-cute-easy
Hello Loves,
Today I'm going to show how to do an EXTREMELY SIMPLE nail art. And you don't need extravagant tools to create this awesome look. So let's begin!

You'll need:

Also you don't have to use black and white nail polishes. You can use colors of your choice! You'll need bobby pins to create dots. Just open a bobby pin and use it as a dotting tool (well unless you have one).

Step one - Apply nude nail polish as a base color and wait until it dries. Then place two different colored dots as it's shown in the picture.
Step two - Using the opposite color, start doting around a circle.
Step three - Once again switch colors and dot around.

Step four - Just repeat until you cover the entire nail in dots! Do it on your whole hand or just on your accent nails and you're DONE!

I hope you'll try it yourself! If you do please send me a picture through twitter or instagram. It took forever to create these pictures and a gif, so if you like this kind of posts and want more please let me know in the comments down below!

The Inspiration Board ● October 2014

Hello,
So after almost 4 months I'm back to blogging. With new layout and a million ideas in my mind, hopefully I'll stay motivated to write! And what better way to start blogging again than with "Inspiration board" post right? When it comes to fashion, autumn/winter seasons are my favorite. Darker colors, layers, big knitted sweaters... Ugh got to love it!

InstaWall ● May 2014

Hey!
So at the end of the month I plan on sharing my instagram pictures in one big post. This post is a bit late, but I was really busy. Hopefully by the end of this month I'll find a better blog layout and these posts will look more attractive! So now let's talk about these pictures.

1. I finally got a new phone! So expect more pictures during the summertime.
2. 'Beautiful Mess' - I'm an extremely messy person and one night I felt inspired to clean up my space. This is how my table looked before..
3. I love neutral shades when it comes makeup (and clothes). But my friend lent me BH Cosmetics palette to experiment with colors. One day I felt inspired and then this happened..
4. Selfie. (I believe there's no need to explain this one hahaha)

That is it for the month of May. I plan on uploading more pictures because I finally own a good phone! My instagram name is ' TheMonsterDee '. Feel free to follow!

The Inspiration Board ● June 2014

Hi!
I know this post is a bit late. June is going (and already is) to be a crazy month for me. Exams, looking for a prom dress, job hunt, finally again working on getting my driver license and filming new videos for my YouTube channel. I feel anxious even thinking about it. Wish me luck!
And now let's chat about fashion. I'm back to black. I can't help it, I just loooove black. It's so chic, classic and simple. But I promise to try this summer incorporate brighter and lighter colors into my outfits.

Review ● Catrice Cosmetics Top Coats

Hi!
Today I've decided to talk about these top coats because I'm in love/hate relationship with them. Personally Catrice Cosmetics I would describe as an average quality drugstore brand. I used to love their nail polishes but after they raised the price from 6.90Lt(2.70USD) to 10.59Lt(4.25USD), I just don't think they are worth it. And now let's talk about their Top Coats.

Catrice Cosmetics 'GEL LIKE' Top Coat (1/10)
To be honest I really hate this one because it's simply horrible. Unfortunately I can't say a single great thing about it!
Reasons why:
  • Really thick
  • Takes FOREVER to dry
  • Definitely doesn't look like Gel polish
  • After 1-2 days top coat layer starts peeling off - really bizarre!
DON'T recommend wasting your money on this one!

Catrice Cosmeticts 'Holographic Flakes' Top Coat Limited edition (6/10)
Once I saw this one in the store I almost screamed. I've been looking for flaky top coat for almost 2 years! Because it is a part of limited holographic edition it was quite pricey - 15.90Lt (6.4USD). But it looked beautiful and I had to buy it.. Unfortunately it turned out to be not that amazing..
Reasons why:
  • Clear nail polish 'base' is really thick
  • Flakes are either too big or really tiny
  • Although it seems to be packed with flakes, unfortunately flakes are REALLY sparse!!
  • After this top coat dried I had to apply 2 layers of regular top coat because flake edges were sticking out
Yeah it looks amazing now over my black nail polish, but I had to work to make it look the way I wanted. I would NOT recommend buying this one :/

Catrice Cosmetics 'Quick Dry & High Shine' Top Coat (9/10)
I looove this one! To be honest I would even say it's one of the best drugstore brand top coats out there.
Reasons why:
  • Dries in seconds
  • Thin formula - I'm able to almost finish the entire bottle before it gets thick!
  • 2 layers of this top coat can significantly effect the lasting power of other nail polishes
I simply love it and definitely recommend to try it!
