Smashbox All For Eyes Set Review ● 12 days of #Trendmas

It's day 5 of #Trendmas!! Time is flying so fast and before I know it it'll be 2016! Today I've decided to review a set I mentioned in my mini Boots haul (here). It was around 12£ which is amazing considering that you get 3 deluxe size items. I didn't plan on buying it at first, but I ran out of my mascara and all drugstore ones were around 10£ (and I usually hate them) so I decided to buy this set instead. I needed my mascara to last until I go home in January therefore full size wasn't necessary. But enough of stories for today, let's talk about each product individually and my opinion on them.

My Skin Saviours ● Skincare Chapter

Hey Loves!

Today I'd like to share my recent skincare discoveries that literally saved my skin. Two months ago my skin started "freaking out" aka breaking out like crazy to the point I thought my serious acne came back. Some of it was hormonal but the majority of it was definitely caused by stress and bad water/polluted air. I'm really disappointed with water quality in London and I can see its' horrible effects on my skin and hair just in short 6 months that I've lived here. Back home in Lithuania, tap water quality is amazing (aka I thought buying bottled water was wasteful, stupid and unnecessary) and that might be a huge factor why my body reacted this badly to water here. Also I have to admit that at one point I got a little lazy and wasn't cleaning/scrubbing my skin properly.

Review ● Catrice Cosmetics Top Coats

Hi!
Today I've decided to talk about these top coats because I'm in love/hate relationship with them. Personally Catrice Cosmetics I would describe as an average quality drugstore brand. I used to love their nail polishes but after they raised the price from 6.90Lt(2.70USD) to 10.59Lt(4.25USD), I just don't think they are worth it. And now let's talk about their Top Coats.

Catrice Cosmetics 'GEL LIKE' Top Coat (1/10)
To be honest I really hate this one because it's simply horrible. Unfortunately I can't say a single great thing about it!
Reasons why:
  • Really thick
  • Takes FOREVER to dry
  • Definitely doesn't look like Gel polish
  • After 1-2 days top coat layer starts peeling off - really bizarre!
DON'T recommend wasting your money on this one!

Catrice Cosmeticts 'Holographic Flakes' Top Coat Limited edition (6/10)
Once I saw this one in the store I almost screamed. I've been looking for flaky top coat for almost 2 years! Because it is a part of limited holographic edition it was quite pricey - 15.90Lt (6.4USD). But it looked beautiful and I had to buy it.. Unfortunately it turned out to be not that amazing..
Reasons why:
  • Clear nail polish 'base' is really thick
  • Flakes are either too big or really tiny
  • Although it seems to be packed with flakes, unfortunately flakes are REALLY sparse!!
  • After this top coat dried I had to apply 2 layers of regular top coat because flake edges were sticking out
Yeah it looks amazing now over my black nail polish, but I had to work to make it look the way I wanted. I would NOT recommend buying this one :/

Catrice Cosmetics 'Quick Dry & High Shine' Top Coat (9/10)
I looove this one! To be honest I would even say it's one of the best drugstore brand top coats out there.
Reasons why:
  • Dries in seconds
  • Thin formula - I'm able to almost finish the entire bottle before it gets thick!
  • 2 layers of this top coat can significantly effect the lasting power of other nail polishes
I simply love it and definitely recommend to try it!
