Smashbox All For Eyes Set Review ● 12 days of #Trendmas

smashbox-review-boots-haul-full-exposure-mascara-photo-finish-hydrating-under-eye-primer-eyeshadow-trio-screen-shot-screenshot
It's day 5 of #Trendmas!! Time is flying so fast and before I know it it'll be 2016! Today I've decided to review a set I mentioned in my mini Boots haul (here). It was around 12£ which is amazing considering that you get 3 deluxe size items. I didn't plan on buying it at first, but I ran out of my mascara and all drugstore ones were around 10£ (and I usually hate them) so I decided to buy this set instead. I needed my mascara to last until I go home in January therefore full size wasn't necessary. But enough of stories for today, let's talk about each product individually and my opinion on them.

Exclusive Benefit RollerLash mascara sample ● Freebie alert!

Freebie alert everyone!

I know I'm a bit late because loads of blogs already announced it, but better late than never right?

Almost a month ago I was wandering around London Luton's airport alone when I randomly spotted this gem amongst other magazines. I almost dropped everything I was holding at the time in my hands (food, handbag, candy, iphone).. I swear some people there though I was crazy because my face suddenly lit up, I ran up to magazine isle and grabbed it as fast as I could! To this day I can't believe I was this lucky. I mean it was still January officially(well the end of it) and I was able to get my hand on March issue of Elle! Like whaaaat?!

Ok, enough of rambling and storytelling. Elle is the first and only place to get hold of Roller Lash before anywhere else. You won't even be able to buy it in Benefit stores yet, it’s that exclusive. So if you live in UK I would recommend to run asap to the nearest store and get it before they sell out. Both original and mini versions have samples. Sample itself is pretty big, or as beauty community describes deluxe size. It's my first Benefit mascara and I like it so far! I'm not sure if I love it yet just because of my mild trichotillomania issue at the moment, as I barely have eyelashes to test it fully and decide. Expect to see a review on this mascara in a month or two either on my blog or youtube.

Salt N' Pepper ● Nail art Tutorial

salt-and-pepper-nail-tutorial-dots-cute-easy
Hello Loves,
Today I'm going to show how to do an EXTREMELY SIMPLE nail art. And you don't need extravagant tools to create this awesome look. So let's begin!

You'll need:

Also you don't have to use black and white nail polishes. You can use colors of your choice! You'll need bobby pins to create dots. Just open a bobby pin and use it as a dotting tool (well unless you have one).

Step one - Apply nude nail polish as a base color and wait until it dries. Then place two different colored dots as it's shown in the picture.
Step two - Using the opposite color, start doting around a circle.
Step three - Once again switch colors and dot around.

Step four - Just repeat until you cover the entire nail in dots! Do it on your whole hand or just on your accent nails and you're DONE!

I hope you'll try it yourself! If you do please send me a picture through twitter or instagram. It took forever to create these pictures and a gif, so if you like this kind of posts and want more please let me know in the comments down below!

The Inspiration Board ● October 2014

Hello,
So after almost 4 months I'm back to blogging. With new layout and a million ideas in my mind, hopefully I'll stay motivated to write! And what better way to start blogging again than with "Inspiration board" post right? When it comes to fashion, autumn/winter seasons are my favorite. Darker colors, layers, big knitted sweaters... Ugh got to love it!

InstaWall ● May 2014

Hey!
So at the end of the month I plan on sharing my instagram pictures in one big post. This post is a bit late, but I was really busy. Hopefully by the end of this month I'll find a better blog layout and these posts will look more attractive! So now let's talk about these pictures.

1. I finally got a new phone! So expect more pictures during the summertime.
2. 'Beautiful Mess' - I'm an extremely messy person and one night I felt inspired to clean up my space. This is how my table looked before..
3. I love neutral shades when it comes makeup (and clothes). But my friend lent me BH Cosmetics palette to experiment with colors. One day I felt inspired and then this happened..
4. Selfie. (I believe there's no need to explain this one hahaha)

That is it for the month of May. I plan on uploading more pictures because I finally own a good phone! My instagram name is ' TheMonsterDee '. Feel free to follow!

The Inspiration Board ● June 2014

Hi!
I know this post is a bit late. June is going (and already is) to be a crazy month for me. Exams, looking for a prom dress, job hunt, finally again working on getting my driver license and filming new videos for my YouTube channel. I feel anxious even thinking about it. Wish me luck!
And now let's chat about fashion. I'm back to black. I can't help it, I just loooove black. It's so chic, classic and simple. But I promise to try this summer incorporate brighter and lighter colors into my outfits.

Review ● Catrice Cosmetics Top Coats

Hi!
Today I've decided to talk about these top coats because I'm in love/hate relationship with them. Personally Catrice Cosmetics I would describe as an average quality drugstore brand. I used to love their nail polishes but after they raised the price from 6.90Lt(2.70USD) to 10.59Lt(4.25USD), I just don't think they are worth it. And now let's talk about their Top Coats.

Catrice Cosmetics 'GEL LIKE' Top Coat (1/10)
To be honest I really hate this one because it's simply horrible. Unfortunately I can't say a single great thing about it!
Reasons why:
  • Really thick
  • Takes FOREVER to dry
  • Definitely doesn't look like Gel polish
  • After 1-2 days top coat layer starts peeling off - really bizarre!
DON'T recommend wasting your money on this one!

Catrice Cosmeticts 'Holographic Flakes' Top Coat Limited edition (6/10)
Once I saw this one in the store I almost screamed. I've been looking for flaky top coat for almost 2 years! Because it is a part of limited holographic edition it was quite pricey - 15.90Lt (6.4USD). But it looked beautiful and I had to buy it.. Unfortunately it turned out to be not that amazing..
Reasons why:
  • Clear nail polish 'base' is really thick
  • Flakes are either too big or really tiny
  • Although it seems to be packed with flakes, unfortunately flakes are REALLY sparse!!
  • After this top coat dried I had to apply 2 layers of regular top coat because flake edges were sticking out
Yeah it looks amazing now over my black nail polish, but I had to work to make it look the way I wanted. I would NOT recommend buying this one :/

Catrice Cosmetics 'Quick Dry & High Shine' Top Coat (9/10)
I looove this one! To be honest I would even say it's one of the best drugstore brand top coats out there.
Reasons why:
  • Dries in seconds
  • Thin formula - I'm able to almost finish the entire bottle before it gets thick!
  • 2 layers of this top coat can significantly effect the lasting power of other nail polishes
I simply love it and definitely recommend to try it!

The Inspiration Board ● May 2014

Hello!
In the beginning of every month I'm going to share few images that inspire me.. This month my main inspiration is cream/white elements in fashion and beauty. Everyone who knows at least a little bit about me would tell you that I wear ONLY black clothes. But this month something clicked in me and now I want to try lighter colors!
