PHOTO OP EYE SHADOW TRIO IN SCREEN SHOT (9/10)
To be completely honest I wasn't expecting amazing things, but I was shocked once I swatched this trio. Quality was beyond anything I've tried in the past. Super pigmented yet blendable!Nectar is a soft matte peach. For most people it would be a great all over the lid shade, but as I'm pale as a ghost I use it to warm up my crease.
Cinnamon toast is a beauuutiful shimmery bronze and without a doubt my favorite one. It's crazy crazy pigmented so you don't need a lot but at the same time it blends beautifully! I'd say this shade is a must have for makeup lovers.
Roast is reddish brown with gold flecks. Another crazy pigmented shade! I barely touch it with a brush and it's enough to darken up the crease for both eyes.
As I said I wasn't expecting it, but now I'm a huge fan of Smashbox eyeshadows and I most definitely will buy more in the future! And so should you haha.

FULL EXPOSURE MASCARA (8/10)
The reason I bought this set. From what I've seen in the past and picture on the box it looked similar to my all time favorite mascara Isadora Build-up in waterproof (completely different from regular one). As you can see from picture below the wand is huge! And I won't lie, I sometimes get some mascara on the eyelid which is annoying, but I do have long eyelashes so it's only partially mascaras fault. The formula is pretty nice not too dry, not too wet (hate wet ones). It can get clumpy if you apply too much, but 2 coats is enough so don't get carried away and you'll be just fine. It's more volumizing than lengthening. I gave it an 8 because although it's really good and I'm happy with it, my Isadora one is still better in my opinion. Full size price is 19.50£.
PHOTO FINISH HYDRATING UNDER EYE PRIMER (5/10)
Last and unfortunately least... I've read many great review online and everyone seems to love it, but I can't see why. I've tried it only few time but only because I didn't notice any difference whatsoever and therefore it just seem like an unnecessary extra step to me.
It's light cream that turns into almost watery consistency from the heat of the skin. There's no silicone in it so it's not pore minimizing and if you're looking for that you should skip this one. It has slight salmon/peach undertone than actually disappears once applied. Also you can see tiny shimmers in it (I guess for brightening), but once concealer is applied you can't see them or the effect they're supposed to give. And finally it's not hydrating at all. I will continue on trying it through the holiday season but if I don't change my mind by mid-January, I'll give it to my mom as she has more mature skin and the majority of good review came from older ladies.
That's it for today! I hope you like this review and I covered all important product features. I'll see you tomorrow with another #Trendmas post!
The eyeshadow trio is so cute, love the shades in it!

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your review of the Smashbox All For Eyes Set! Your detailed descriptions of the eyeshadow trio, mascara, and under-eye primer made me feel like I was trying them out myself. The swatches and application tips were super helpful, especially your thoughts on the pigmentation and blendability of the eyeshadows. This set sounds like a fantastic value for the price. Great review!
